Goldring Travel is excited to announce its 2027 Culinary & Cultural Journey sailing on Explora Journey’s new Explora III through Central America. The diversity of cultures and cuisines, politics, and nature makes this a fantastic journey, and with easy air connections!
Explora III will be very similar to Explora I and II but will be slightly larger in order to house the LNG tanks in this environmentally upgraded version of the ship. But not to worry, even though slightly larger, there will be the same number of suites. How? By increasing the number of premium suites and reducing the number of Ocean Terrace suites.
We will sail from Panama City, Panama, to Los Angeles, California, with the option of extending the journey to Vancouver, Canada…or even possibly to Alaska! Or, how about starting in Miami and sailing through the Panama Canal?
Keep in mind, now that Explora Journeys is no longer the “What’s that all about?” cruise line and with rave reviews from virtually every guest that has tried it (and the travel industry), demand is up, especially on easy-to-reach sailings. In fact, I have repeat clients who have become frustrated because the sailings they want that are over eight months out are almost sold out.
What does Goldring Travel have in store for its guests (again, limited to 12-14)? To be honest, it is too early to arrange anything specific for 2027, but here are some ideas:
- Panama City, Panama: A pre-journey dinner at Miato, one of the World’s Top 50 and Panama’s best restaurants.
- Acajutla, El Salvador: A deep dive into the Mayan Culture and History, including a lunch with gourmet twists on the cuisine of the area, both ancient and modern.
- Puerto Quetzal, Guatemala: Visit one of the best preserved Colonial villages and enjoy a gourmet lunch prepared in a local author’s restaurant.
- Chiapas, Mexico: Experience the Zoque culture, which long pre-dates the Mayan, and a full-day culinary experience, including both cooking and dining.
- Huatulco, Mexico: Dive into the ancient but sophisticated Zapotec culture, which is famous for its ceramics and weavings.
- Puerto Vallarta, Mexico: How about a Tequila, Mezcal, and Agave tasting?

Pricing for this exclusive experience starts at $6,420 per person, double occupancy, in an Ocean Terrace 1 Suite, but don’t limit yourself, as Explora III has a plethora of premium suites!
