In just a few months the Seabourn Spirit and Seabourn Legend will be no more. While the hardware will, like their older sister, the Seabourn Pride, will pass to Windstar Cruises, the essence of Seabourn will leave them forever. But before I get to that, I want to address an issue that some people have
Being one of the world’s top selling agents of Seabourn cruises, it was Windstar Cruises’s truly executive decision to invite Goldring Travel aboard its flagship, Wind Surf, to better understand its product as it prepares for the arrival of the Seabourn Pride (and next year the Seabourn Spirit and Seabourn Legend) into its fleet. So,
Seabourn Cruise Line has announced the sale of its triplets (Seabourn Pride, Seabourn Spirit and Seabourn Legend) to Windstar Cruises commencing in April 2014. With Seabourn’s contemporaneous announcement that it will be building a fourth Odyssey-class ship with construction probably starting within the next six months, it has decided to retain approximately the same number of

Note: The Seabourn Pride, Seabourn Spirit and Seabourn Legend were sold three months after this article was written (February 2013) to Windstar Cruises, but are staying with the fleet until 2015 (the Pride until 2014). You can read the article here. I have been a bit quiet of late having endured the wrath of

I have spent much of my time over the past weeks discussing cuisine and what it means and can add or subtract from your cruise experience. Today I was advised of a San Diego food critic’s blog “Matters of Taste” wherein she noted her first cruise ever was this past year on the Seabourn Spirit
I just received photographs of some of the interiors of the Seabourn Spirit after her recent refurbishment. I think they are fantastic and have eliminated some of the older elements/design quirks while tying her decor in better with her big sisters, Seabourn Odyssey and Seabourn Sojourn. The Goldring Travel 2009 Food & Wine Cruise had a number of moments that made this cruise something truly special, even as compared to the normal, excellent experience, one has on Seabourn. Each suite was provided with a host of no-cost extras: 1. A travel book on the cruise area; 2. A culinary book focused
Note: As the internet was effectively non-functioning during most of the cruise I have posted a number of blog entries all at once. Be sure to start at the bottom and work you way up to this one. The next day, our last, was Trieste, Italy. I had booked a tour which was to highlight
The second part of our day in Koper, Slovenia was the private Ensemble Experience which was a tour of Piran followed by a wine tasting at Santomas vineyards.
