I am pleased to announce the 2016 Goldring Travel Culinary & Cultural Cruise on the Seabourn Quest departing from Dover, England on August 4, 2016.

Goldring Travel Food & Wine Cruise Nothing like seeing a Double Rainbow While Cruising The British Isles |
|
Goldring Travel’s Food & Wine Cruise Now that is a proper setting for our Private Food & Wine Tasting |
Seabourn has returned to the British Isles for the first time in a quite a while. The 2012 Goldring Travel Food & Wine Cruise just barely touched the British Isles and the enthusiasm and engagement was fantastic, so I figured why not really dive deep into the truly varied and unique cultures, culinary experiences (yes there is some pretty awesome food in England, Ireland, Wales and Scotland) as well as explore the spiritual world of whisky (no “e”), mead and wine.

Whether you are interested in the mysterious history of the Isle of Lewis (with its Standing Stones, crannogs and Uig chessman), the troubled history of Belfast, the whiskies of Oban and/or Cork, having a wee bit of haggis in Glascow or a pint of Guinness in Dublin, or want to experience a bit of the extremely independent and unique Welsh culture, this cruise can fulfill your desires.
Of course there will be a number of unique Food & Wine events (and maybe one more focused on the incredible history of the British Isles) that the cruise lines that claim to have food and wine cruises could not possible arrange. They have to make arrangement for hundreds of passengers; not a dozen or so special guests. (That is why I have to limit the number of guests on my cruise!)

Goldring Travel Food & Wine Cruise The Shell House at Darina Allen’s Balleymaloe in Cork, Ireland |
For example, the last time we visited Cork we met with world famous chef, Darina Allen, at her Balleymaloe Cookery School (with tea and pastries, of course, as well as receiving an autographed cook book) and then we toured her organic farm with her son…and that was after enjoying a truly wonderful traditional (but gourmet) pub lunch. Maybe this time we will visit Jamison’s Distillery for a private tasting unlike anything you may have dreamed about???
As another example, while visiting Bordeaux, France, I arranged private tours and wine tastings at Chateau Margaux and Lynch-Bage with a wine and food paring course followed by a lunch at Cafe Lavinal in between the tastings.

Goldring Travel’s Food & Wine Cruise Private Tour and Tasting at Chateau Margaux |
On our cruise there will, in addition to the Goldring Travel shore events, be a Private Shopping with the Chef,
|
Goldring Travel Food & Wine Cruise Private Shopping with Seabourn Chef Kurt |
a Private Food & Wine Tasting prepared onboard with Seabourn’s Executive Chef and Sommelier and, of course, a surprise or two. (Didn’t someone mention kilts?)
|
Goldring Travel Food & Wine Cruise Just Part of a Private Event Held at the New England Aquarium |
Because this cruise is so unique to Seabourn the demand is very high it is sure to sell out quickly, so do not delay. Of course, if the price of the cruise does drop, Goldring Travel will get you that lower fare, and we never charge a change or cancellation fee, so delaying your booking to see if the price drops only assures you of two things: It truly reduces the chance of you getting the suite you want and it may even result in you paying a higher fare if the category you desire sells out or Seabourn raises the prices. (And unlike booking in the UK or some other countries, there is no immediate penalty or charge if you change your mind. Right up until 121 days prior to the sailing you can cancel and receive every penny of your deposit back.)
Did I mention that all of the Goldring Travel Special Events are provided with Goldring Travel’s compliments? That’s right, you do not pay anything extra for this extraordinary experience.
