Seriously Special Seabourn Pricing on a Wide Variety of 2020 and 2021 Cruises

Before I get to the Seriously Special Seabourn Pricing, obviously the coronavirus, or COVID-19, situation has significantly impacted the travel industry and will for some time. If you have not yet read my article: Coronavirus COVID-19: A Luxury Travel Agent’s Perspective.

Unfortunately, the media has really jumped on this story and it has created panic, emotional responses and perceptions that just are not accurate. Whether it is the reports that Milan is shut down (one of my longest and most responsible suppliers posted videos this past weekend of crowds of Milanese celebrating the warm weather by a lake) or cruise ships are bastions of disease (the Japanese government admitting there protocol was horribly flawed) the reality is that over 80% of those infected have no or mild symptoms…and the percentage may well be far higher because those folks generally have not reported themselves as sick and/or have not been tested.

In short, every disease raises some level of concern. We just need to scientifically and based upon actual facts determine what that level is. In the meantime, the experts at the World Health Organization and the Centers for Disease Control state that unless you are already medically compromised: Don’t wear masks (as they do little to nothing); Wash your hands often; Use hand sanitizer if you can’t; and, Don’t touch your face or mouth without doing the foregoing. (BTW, Goldring Travel has, and will continue to, provide you with travel size hand sanitizer.)

Seabourn “Book With Confidence” Policy

Virtually every cruise line and tour operator has just instituted some sort of near term protection for its guests due to the uncertainty surrounding governmental actions concerning COVID-19. (Long term commitments just aren’t possible because literally nobody knows fully how to navigate these uncharted waters…though one thing is for certain those uncharted waters are going to be traveled through by land, sea and air!)

Seabourn’s Book with Confidence policy is valid now through April 30, 2020.

Coverage: All existing bookings and new bookings made from March 2, 2020 through April 30, 2020 for sailings departing between April 30th and October 15th, 2020.

Policy: Guests may cancel up to 30 days prior to departure and receive a 100% Future Cruise Credit of any monies paid to Seabourn that are currently within the cancellation period. That means in order to benefit from this policy you must cancel your cruise and submit it for review at least 30 days before such cruise’s departure date to be eligible

The Future Cruise Credit is valid for bookings made within 90 days for any published sailing departing prior to December 31, 2021. That means you must rebook within 90 days, but can put the sailing off for almost two years on a sailing that is already published (i.e. not hold out until new sailings are published). Please note that you will not receive a refund, but rather a Future Cruise Credit that has no cash value and is not transferable.

Please also note that the normal cancellation policies and penalties still apply to other cruises (thought that may change dependent upon how things develop). You may cancel your cruise anytime up to 121 days prior to sailing (150 days on longer sailings) with no penalty (and Goldring Travel never charges a change or cancellation fee). Penalties are generally equal to the amount of your deposit until 90 days prior when final payment is due and the penalties increase.

Now for the Seriously Special Seabourn Pricing!

As with segments of the 2021 Seabourn World Cruise Goldring Travel has seriously special pricing on a number of Seabourn cruises in Alaska, Panama Canal, Mediterranean, Northern Europe, Australia/New Zealand, Arabia, Asia (yes its true!) and a very limited amount of South America and Antarctica. Special pricing is not available on every cruise, but there certainly is a wide enough variety that something will probably peak your interest; most being 7-14 days sailing…and many of those can be booked as back-to-back sailings.
